Van Gaalen Cheese Farm has hosted a number of Backyard events and is a favourite amongst those looking to push their distance. With elevation gain of only 39m per lap, this relatively flat route, is the perfect chance for participants to challenge themselves.

* R360 – Backyard Dabble ‘5 laps or less*
* R590 – Backyard Unlimited ‘6 laps and more’
**Note on Dabble Entries*
Backyard Dabble entries do not qualify for a finisher shirt. Dabble entries can however upgrade their entry on the day if you plan to go further than 5 laps and would like to get a Finisher shirt.

Van Gaalen Backyard Ultra is a ‘Silver Ticket’ event meaning that the winners of the Silver Ticket events will have a place on the national team. The Backyard Ultra World Team Champs will take place on the 15th of October 2024.
